Somewhee in Memphis ( An invisible Invasion)

Image
By Sharon M. Gartrell -Lawson                       buymeacoffee.com/hannahjeffers   "Man,  t here are still people being murdered every 2 or 3 days in Memphis. What the hell are these agencies and the National Guard doing ?? It's like they're just here to hunt down non-criminal illegals! They need to do something about the actual freaking crime in our city! People are still  getting robbed every damn night!"..... David Gallegos   The above statement general summary of many nervous, angry, and frustrated Memphians. At first, I saw the outside federal agencies as an invasion. Then I looked at the overall situation and thought, "Well, maybe they REALLY are here to help and can REALLY make a difference. Yes, they are helping, but NOT in an effective way and NOT in a way they're needed most."

buymeacoffee.com/hannahjeffers The thought of not being able to receive  food stamps is horrifying for those in need. Especially when you are working with those who have loss so much in a disaster . This fear has created an anticipation of more need. Because of this the pantry has to limit it's services to consumers,  This means families can only come to shop with Grace Felowship once a month.  It is sad that we do not have more to offer but we pray that more substances will be Your donation will help us out a lot. buymeacoffee.com/hannahjeffers What the tornado took was overwhelming.  What it created was greater   need.  Somehow I have landed in this much needed place. I am humbled and honored that God would send me to the people who are doing great work and all He ask is that I be obedient. Bishop Gregory Holley and his wife Prophetess Diane Holley have a magnificent calling of service . I am constantly stunned as I observe abserve their works. This couple feeds the community three days a week, Twice weekly, Prophetess Diane prepares a hot meal for anyone in the neigborhood who will come and eat. Then on Wednesdays they provide an open food pantry where neigbors come to shop for the price of only a signature.  There is so much work left to be done and the cost of repairs to their church is huge.  But if you are reading this blog you can be a great help. Somewhere in St. Louis (Soul 2 Soul)

Image
buymeacoffee.com/hannahjeffers   After a hard week of working in ministry Andre snd I decided to treet ourselves to a dinner on the Delmar loop . We choose a poplar spot called Soul 2 Soul . The food was delicious although I must say that it was  rather exsensive. The portions were very small but the taste was almost worth it.  We both agreed that we would go back but the next time we will stop and get a burger or something.  I am loving being somewhere in St. Louis .  https://cash.app/$3615H

H ere in this place right now there are so many leftt without food or shelter.  You walk down streets and you are amazed at the destruction. These building are made of stone. Built many years ago these building where meant to stand against the earthquakes and storms., but in 2025 they are reduced to memory.  Now that the storm has passed recovery has begun. Needless to say the people who survived the ordeal are so much like the building in ruins. The homeless population has increased and many have no electric and no roof tops. To help with the situation churches have steped in and created ministtries specifically designed to help victims of the strom. Organizations are stepping in and providing more than just a meal. People have come in and brought much needed support. I am here offering what little I ccan to help soothe the mental pains of loosing it all. I will help them write a new vision. Somewhere in St. Louis .  You too can be a part o...

Somewhere in St. Louis

The tonado hit St. Louis Mo. on May 16th. 2025. The damage affected most of the North side. Brown stone houses that have stood for hundreds of years where instantly reduced to rubble leaving the Northside in ruins. Never the less many of the residents have not moved away. They made a decision to stay and live among the ruins. This is their familiar space, the only place they have known and to them it will alwaus remain home. Many outsiders have come to helpp them rebuild and the work is great. Now God has placed me in the midst of this developing work to share their struggles of hardship and triumph. The struggle is real. I am somewhere in St. Louis.   donate to my work by clicking the link below;  Hannah Jeffers   < majestypolkproductions@gmail.com > https://cash.app/$3615H

Somewhere in St. Louis

I have always beleived in helping others. Although my family and friends may argrue that I am the most neediest person they know.  Prehaps this might very well be why I feel so called to help others. My prayers have always been God lead me to a place where I can make a difference. Day after day I have prayed to be called to a ministry in Africa or somewhere abroad. I just beleived I could make a difference by sharing my writings and ideas about survival and creating great things from little to nothing. Yes, I have those skills. Well, God finally answered but the answer was far from what I beleived it would be. Yes, He has given me the oportunity to serve Africans. Yes I will use my gift of writing to create major change. However, God in His infinite wisdom has landed me smack down in the middle of the tornado torn neigborhood of St. Louis. God is truly a comedian. He provided a000000 new husband  to love and support me. Then He said get to work and start by fee...
